HILLSDALE STUDENTS MINISTER IN SIX COUNTRIES

MOORE, OK—This summer 21 Hillsdale students, alumni, and faculty members traveled to six different countries and ministered to hundreds of people.

China/Vietnam—Tasha Foster, Mariah Sandiford, Chelsea Dildine, Lee Gibson, Emily and Kyle Hoover spent a month with the English Language Institute teaching English to Asian students. Lee Gibson, first-time English teacher said, “I fell in love with my kids. They were crazy, so we got along great!”

France—Women’s basketball coach Autumn Drake, and members of the 2004–2005 Lady Saints Basketball Team—Leslie Owen, Lacey Trosper, Sheila Howard, Julie Stanford, Elisha
Burdett, Erin McFarland, and Sacia
Franklin—visited FWB missionary Dennis Teague to assist with basketball camps. The Lady Saints partnered with the Lady Evangels from neighboring Mid-America
Bible College and competed against
French men and women’s basketball teams. When asked about the best part of the trip, Lacey Trosper replied, “There
was so much that I loved, I can’t give just one thing!”

Cuba—Keri Morgan traveled to Latin America this summer to intern with a Free Will Baptist E-TEAM. Their ten days were spent worshiping with Cuban brothers and sisters, participating in Bible camps, and sharing personal
testimonies. “I received way more out of the trip than I put into it,” says Keri.

Mexico—Daniel Weaver traveled
south of the border with a non-denominational group to minister
through children’s Bible school and
sports. “I am so glad I went. I had an amazing experience.”

Romania—The small, southeastern
village of Harsova hosted Jennifer
Martin, Kristi Smith, Adam Blehm, Casey Jones, and Amanda Thompson for 10 days in May. The group visited abandoned and hospitalized children, helped feed
and teach Bible stories to street children, witnessed to Muslim and Orthodox community members (and celebrated at least 10 converts), and enjoyed the
fellowship of Romanian believers.
The group unanimously agreed it was the best short-term trip they had ever experienced.

MOORE, OK—Sunday evening, August 14, 2005, proved to be an exciting beginning to the fall semester at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College.

President Timothy W. Eaton was
inaugurated during services on
campus. The event was attended by Keith Burden, executive secretary of Free Will Baptists, Dr. Russell Fitzgerald, executive director of TRACS, presidents and professors from other colleges and universities, past Hillsdale Presidents, board members, faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.

Former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts was the keynote speaker. After the inauguration, a reception was held to honor President and Mrs. Eaton.

NEW MEDICARE DRUG BENEFIT AVAILABLE

Starting January 1, 2006, Medicare will provide a new prescription drug benefit to help senior adults pay for prescriptions. This benefit will not be part of the traditional Medicare program. This new program (sometimes called Part D) will help pay for some or all of participants’ drug costs.

Initial enrollment begins November 15, 2005, and ends May 15, 2006. If you join by December 31, 2005,
you won’t miss a day of coverage.
Everyone with Medicare should find out more about this new voluntary coverage regardless of their income, health, or how they pay for prescription drugs today. For most people, coverage isn’t automatic. Medicare participants must decide for themselves whether to enroll in the Medicare prescription drug plan or not.
