TORRISONS ARRIVE IN PAHAMA
CHITRE, PANAMA Steve and Lori Torrision recently made the transition from language school in Costa Rica to field ministry in Panama. The couple completed a year of language training in April and moved to Chitré, where they will work with Stan and Brenda Bunch while honing their language skills.
As Steve and Lori struggled through the initial housekeeping set-up; dealt with Panamanian red tape for utility, phone, and Internet services; and adjusted to the climatic differences, they also identified and began a niche ministry. Seeking to establish rapport with local college-aged youth, the Torrisons sponsored their first “Coffee ‘n’ Conversation” gathering in May. Through the event, they met eight to ten local college-age people. The Torrisons expect opportunities to discuss spiritual issues will arise as they carry on frequent conversations with those wishing to improve their English conversation skills.
